Pittsburgh travelled to the Great Lakes Division leading Metro Jets for a two game series looking to gain ground on the Jets while gaining some breathing room from the third place Toledo Cherokee. The Saturday night affair started with Metro jumping out to an early 1-0 lead before Nick Tessier would score to tie it at 1-1 with an assist going to James Valente.  Metro would take  control of the game in the second period scoring 7 times to build up a 8-1 lead going into the third period.  The Jets would add a lone tally in the third period for a 9-1 win.  Andrew Kelly would stop 22 out of 28 in goal for the loss and Noah Bonvissuto would stop 21 out 24 in relief.

Pittsburgh would try to bounce back from Saturday nights lack luster performance on Sunday afternoon.  Metro had other ideas as they would come out and  put up an 8 spot on Pittsburgh on their way to an easy 8-0 shutout. Andrew Kelly would stop 37 out 45 in goal for Pittsburgh to take the loss. Metro would outscore Pittsburgh 17-1 in the weekend series and fire 97 shots on goal. "Its an all time low for our program and its an embarrassment the way we conducted ourselves on the ice," said General Manger David Dorsey after the game. "We want guys that play the right way and don't surrender at the first sign of adversity," added Dorsey.

Pittsburgh will try and bounce back next weekend with a two game split series with the  Columbus Mavericks.  Pittsburgh will travel to Columbus Friday night and then host the Mavericks on Saturday night in Pittsburgh.
