Zins’ big game bests St. Louis in 10-1 North Iowa win

Behind a great game by Dylan Zins, who had four goals and two assists, the North Iowa Bulls defeated the St. Louis Jr. Blues, 10-1.

Zins notched his first tally 17:46 into the first period. He then added goals at 4:21 into the second, at 29 seconds into the third, and at 5:21 into the third.

North Iowa excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Bulls\’ offense rang up 57 shots on St. Louis\’ net. North Iowa outdid its season average for goals scored. The Bulls average 4.2 goals per game.

North Iowa also got points from Zachary Johnston, who also registered two goals and one assist, Carmen Dalesandro, who also had one goal and four assists, Travis Johnston, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Austin Jackson, who also tallied one goal and four assists, and Trey Gardner, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for North Iowa came via Johnny Panvica, Kurt Halbach, Joe Kleven, and Joe Burgmeier, who each chipped in one.

North Iowa\’s Jordan Moran stopped 20 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Bulls incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Cooper Cothran made 47 saves for the Jr. Blues on 57 shots. St. Louis incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
