yTopeka’s Juris deadly on offense in 6-3 win against xDallas

Dante Juris was all over the ice for the yTopeka Capitals, as he tallied two goals in yTopeka\’s 6-3 win over the xDallas Jr. Stars.

Juris found the back of the net 10:07 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 3:50 into the second to make the score 3-2 yTopeka.

The Capitals forced xDallas\’ goalies to work in net, taking 46 shots and forcing 40 saves. Chris Mallon made 22 stops and Link Ferch made 18. Team\’s forwards weren\’t the only contributers offensively, and the team\’s defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

yTopeka additionally got points from Tommy Malkmus, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Seth Kamrass, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for yTopeka included Hardijs Kupaks and Alex Sauer, who scored one goal each. More assists for yTopeka came via Casey LaBonte, who had two, Georgy Ostapchuk, who had three, and Connor Nicholas and Nick Rizzo, who contributed one a piece.

The Jr. Stars were helped by Colin South, who finished with one goal. South scored 12:56 into the third period to make the score 5-3 yTopeka. Raurie Petrich assisted on the tally. xDallas also had goals scored by Cam Choate and Matt Zaragoza, who each put in one.

yTopeka\’s Jude Hull stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Capitals incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. xDallas incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
