Liberty University Division I Club men's hockey recruit Charles Williams plans to demonstrate his physical presence with the Flames this coming season. Charles played for the then NA3HL Pittsburgh Jr Penguins (current Pittsburgh Vengeance) before moving to the Ontario Jr A Hockey League where he captained his team, the Milton Ice Hawks.
While in the 3HL, Charles finished the 2010-11 season second in League scoring to his teammate Jayson Angus who has since moved on to Lake Superior State. The two were a force on the ice together combining for 160 total points. However, the stark difference in their play was William's physicality. Angus managed 82 points with just 2 penalty minutes whille Charles was still able to tally 80 points (38G – 42A) while accumulating 125 penalty minutes.
Charles was a mennace on the ice to his opponents musceling his way through the tightest spaces. He always came through. His work ethic was tremendous and what pushed him to keep advancing.
Charles is just another in the long line of success stories with tht Pittsburgh Jr hockey program. Click HERE to see what the Flames are expecting from Charles this season.
