Vengeance Ready for Weekend Opener

The Pittsburgh Vengeance look to take the 2015-2016 NA3HL season by storm as they host the Cincinnati Thunder for a two game weekend series at 6:30 p.m. September 5th and 11:40 a.m. September 6th at the newly renamed Alpha Ice Complex in Harmar, PA. The team will be holding a tailgate party open to all before the Saturday night game as well as a Chuck-A-Puck contest during intermission, so come out and support your Vengeance!

Pittsburgh is entering this season with 20 new skaters on the roster, and each one of these fresh faces will be looking to make a name for himself during the opening weekend of the year. Bolstering the young talent from the back end are returning defenseman Kenny White and goaltender Jacob Stack. After performing well during the 2014-2015 season, head coach Dave Dorsey is looking for both players to take the next step and play key roles on and off the ice.

Cincinnati has a fresh new look, renaming the team from the Swords to the Thunder, and they're hoping the change will produce better results on the ice. The Thunder are coming off a 6-38-3 record last year, but are optimistic a full camp under new coach Ryan Colville and an infusion of local talent will help the team to more success this season.
