Pittsburgh Keep Xpress in the Station, Win 4-2

The Pittsburgh Vengeance's offense had a big night, peppering the Southern Tier Xpress with 40 shots throughout the game. The Pittsburgh Vengeance took the lead late in the second on a goal from Simon Soderberg.

Austin Martz chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Marks Mezsargs contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Mickenzie Restle did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Tristan Mock delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first, Restle opened the scoring for Southern Tier with a goal at 3:52 with helpers from his linemates, Keller and Mock.

During the second, Shepherd answered for the Vengeance with a goal at 3:25 with helpers from Mezsargs and Edgar. Martz netted a goal at 6:47 with assists from his linemates, Kirk and Friedman. Mock answered for the Xpress with a goal at 9:46 with assists from his teammates Allen and Restle. Soderberg answered for Pittsburgh with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:10 with a helper from Martz. Mezsargs put in a goal at 19:57 with helpers from Bioni and Martz.

The Vengeance's victory was in no doubt helped out by Zab's big night as he stopped 33 of the 35 shots he faced. Zab's counterpart, Pascarella, also had a big night, managing to stop 36 of 40, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Pittsburgh Vengeance's record to (19-6-0-0).
