During the first, Glavach opened the scoring for Pittsburgh with a goal at 7:14 with a helper from defenseman Bioni. Mock answered for Southern Tier with a goal at 12:00 with helpers from his linemates, Wilcox and Lamison. Keller put in a goal at 18:21 with assists from his teammates Rickabaugh and Allen.
In the second period, Unger answered for Pittsburgh with a goal at 8:27 with a helper from defenseman Bioni. Soderberg quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:40 with assists from Bates and Erker. Shepherd netted a goal at 15:16 with helpers from Polster and Soderberg.
In the third, Polster put in a goal at 19:44 with an assist from defenseman Oslick.
The Vengeance's victory was in no doubt helped out by De Simone's big night as he stopped 31 of the 33 shots he faced. De Simone's counterpart, Pascarella, also had a big night, managing to stop 40 of 44, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Pittsburgh Vengeance's record to (5-4-0-0).
