Southern Tier was sparked by Desrosiers, who grabbed one goal and one assist.
The Xpress were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 24 penalty minutes.
Pittsburgh was helped by Eli Lynn, who finished with one goal. Lynn scored on the power play 17:28 into the third period to make the score 2-2. The Vengeance had taken the advantage when Southern Tier\’s Brian Grant got sent off for hooking. Kenneth White picked up the assist. Pittsburgh also got a goal from Parker Henry as well. In addition, Pittsburgh received assists from Bryan Hovanec, who had one.
The Xpress\’ Cody Gibson stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Southern Tier registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Jacob Stack rejected 26 shots on goal for Pittsburgh. The Vengeance incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
