The Jr B Pens squared off against the Michigan Mountain Cats this past weekend in a Non-League double header that featured plenty of hard hitting action and offensive fireworks!

The Pens got things rolling in game one on a Power play goal from Passaro in the first period.  Passaro buried a slick feed from Pawlowski who led the Pens attack with 3 points (1 goal and 2 assists) in the game.

Berardinelli tallied 2 assists and Kennedy added an assist to complete the Pens scoring for the night.  The game was highlighted by physical play at both ends of the ice from both teams.

The Mt Cats tried to mount a third period comeback after being blanked by Pens net minder Heltion in the first two periods to no avail as the Cats were only able to put one past him.  Heltion finished the game stopping 31 of 32 shots.

This game added new meaning to the words ‘Physical Play' for Coach Cersosimo's young Penguin squad.  The Pens answered with solid fore checking and tough defensive play along with some key saves by Allen and Mortland who shared goaltending duties for an impressive 10 – 6 victory.

The Pens take their 4-0 record on the road this weekend for a pair with the always strong CHA Metro Moose on Coney Island, NY.  You can be sure that 'Brian and his boys' are going give the Moose all that they can handle.
