Pens take two more

The Pens outshot the NY Coyotes 117 to 46 in two games, and outscored them 16-1. The Empire Penguins came out of the gate fast in game one and never looked back all weekend. It was nice to have another weekend go by without having bus legs as the Coyotes never were able to get in the groove.  Coach Taibi shook up the lines a little and it paid off for the Pens in both shots and scoring. In game one Eric Ekberg stopped 16 of 17 shots and the Pens got goal scoring from  8 different players. In game two it was more of the same with Matt Schmidlin getting the shutout after stopping 29 shots.  Six Pens players put up 8 goals in the second contest.  The Empire Pens have a well deserved weekend off this week, and head to New Jersey to play the Wildcats right after Thanksgiving.
