Pittsburgh Junior B Penguins – 17   &   Suffolk PAL Juniors –  3

Suffolk got on the board first at the 7:52 mark when Martinez was able to beat Penguin Net Minder Heltion on the far corner of his cage.

The Penguins responded by scoring 5 consecutive goals chasing Suffolk’s' Santiago from the crease!

11:56 – Berardinelli   (from Straub)

13:38 – Straub           (from Hovanec)

14:29 – Chiala            (from Myers and Brett)

The second period started off like the first period ended with the Pens scoring 5 more goals (this time on Suffolk’s new 'Tender' Drapala), knocking him out of the game as Santiago had to re-enter the game!

At the 18:04 mark of the second, Suffolk’s Leone (from Vita) added their second goal of the game.

The Pens McKown scored their 6th goal of the period just 38 seconds later.


just 6 seconds later, Brett scored the Penguins 7th goal of the period!

The puck (still 'smoking') from the Penguins assault on Suffolk’s net, was dropped for the final period of the contest.

At the 4:12 mark, Wilde (from Tirelli and Kahl) managed to find the back of Heltions net one last time.

The Penguins were not done just yet, scoring 5 more times!
