Metro Sweeps Vengeance Again

Metro Jets once again proved why they're the team to beat in the East Division with a convincing two game sweep of Pittsburgh in Metro. The Vengeance traveled on the road for the first time on Saturday to Fraser Park, the home of the Jets. Metro scored to go up 1-0 early but the Vengeance tied it late in the first period on a goal by Devin Sroka, assisted by Perry Shiring. Metro struck early in the second period and late on the power play to take a 3-1 lead into the third. The Jets once again cashed in early in the third period of play to go up 4-1. James Unger scored a goal late with a an assist to James Stiles to cut the deficit to 4-2. Metro tallied an empty net short handed goal to seal the game for a 5-2 victory. Marcus Glossstopped 25 of 29 shots on goal in the loss for Pittsburgh.
