Metro rides Limburg to victory over Toledo, 2-1

Kameron Limburg stood on his head and made 38 saves to lead the Metro Jets to a 2-1 victory over the Toledo Cherokee.

Metro was sparked by Alex Holm, who tallied one goal. Holm scored 13:36 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Metro. Josh Hosking picked up the assist.

The Jets forced Toledo goalie Aaron Callan to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Metro also got a goal from Kyle Shreve as well. Other players who recorded assists for Metro were Zach MacKay, who had one.

The Cherokee\’s offense rang up 39 shots on Metro\’s net.

Toledo was led by Tyler Zalecki, who scored the team\’s only goal. Zalecki scored on the power play 9:13 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toledo. The Cherokee had taken the advantage when the Jets\’ Cody Jones got sent off for hooking. Zach Armstrong assisted on the tally.

Metro incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Callan rejected 29 shots on goal for Toledo. The Cherokee incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
