Metro holds on for 3-2 win against Pittsburgh

The Metro Jets survived a determined comeback attempt by the Pittsburgh Vengeance on the way to a 3-2 win.

Metro made the score 3-1 on a goal by Jake Sealy at 6:46 in the third period, and Pittsburgh got as close as 3-2 when Eli Lynn scored 13:58 into the third period.

The Jets were led by Sealy, who had one goal and one assist.

Metro additionally got points from Cody Jones, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Cooper McLean also scored for Metro. More assists for Metro came via David Chavis, Pearce Vance, Tyler Layle, and TJ Krajewski, who contributed one each.

The Vengeance stifled Metro\’s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

In addition, Pittsburgh received assists from Gavin Cummings, who had two and Brennan Conway and Michael Straub, who each chipped in one.

Kameron Limburg recorded 24 saves for the Jets. Metro incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Pittsburgh\’s Jacob Stack stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Vengeance incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
