La Crosse downs Wisconsin in overtime, 6-5 (OT)

The La Crosse Freeze\’s Daniel Toycen scored 37 seconds into overtime to beat the Wisconsin Whalers, 6-5 (OT).

Toycen was all over the ice for La Crosse, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Toycen scored the first of his two goals at 3:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 La Crosse. Zach Lawson assisted on the tally. Toycen\’s next tally made the score 6-5 La Crosse with 19:23 left in overtime. Taylor Trapp provided the assist.

The Freeze found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. La Crosse averages 3.0 goals per game.

La Crosse additionally got points from Jared Bromberg, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Lawson, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. La Crosse also had goals scored by Jake Lipski and Anthony Miller, who scored one goal each.
