Junior A Pens take two from tough Queen City team on road

The Pittsburgh Junior A Penguins went on the road to take on the Queen City Steam for a two game series. The two game set provided very good hockey by both teams and the Junior A Pens were fortunate to take both.  The Pens won on Saturday 4-1 and Sunday 4-0.  \” We got solid goaltending by Collin LeMay in both games while they put pressure on us.  Collin made big saves early in the both games.  I thought the Somma, Kumpfmiller, Lemieux line was the best on the ice for us in both games.  Michael Kretz and Evan Mulvihill were excellent on defense in both games.  Queen City is a very good hockey team and to win both games in their building is quite an accomplishment.  There was not a lot of room out there, but we found out who wanted it most.  Vinnie Somma was a warrior out there this weekend for us, winning all the little battles and fighting for everything.  He is not the biggest, toughest, or fastest kid on the team, but he wants it the most, \” said Coach Dorsey.

The Junior A Pens are off this week and then go on the road to face the Chicago Force on Thanksgiving weekend.
