Vaughn NA3HL Goaltender of the Month: Marcus Gloss, Pittsburgh Vengeance
Pittsburgh Vengeance goalie Marcus Gloss, 19, was downright stellar in the month of November as he helped the Vengeance to a 6-0-1 record during the month. The native of Houghton, MI, posted a perfect 4-0 record in four starts and allowed just six goals on 145 shots in the four games, which translated to a 95.9% save percentage and a 1.41 goals against average during the month. Gloss made 43 saves in a 3-2 shootout win over West Michigan to begin the month. He also posted a 28-save shutout of the Wooster Oilers on November 15th. Overall, Gloss (6’4/225) has a 8-2-0 record this season with a 2.34 goals against average and a 93.7% save percentage, which ranks 3rd overall in the NA3HL. “Marcus is a great competitor who works hard everyday and has been fantastic in goal for us from they day he arrived,” said Pittsburgh head coach Dave Dorsey.
Named an honorable mention for the Easton Hockey Forward of the Month was Vince Casale, who recorded 5 points in 7 November contests. Gavin Cummings was an honorable mention for the Easton Hockey Defenseman of the Month, with 8 points in that span.
