Finishing Strong

Forward Jayson Lottes with our Jr Penguin Tier I Midget team saved his best for when it counted most.  Jason picked up his game in the last month and was named Player of the Month of February for his Quaker Valley High School team in the Pittsburgh Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL).  Jason played 4 years of Varsity for the Quakers.

Jason’s HS Coach, Kevin Quinn said “he’s an outstanding leader and citizen who led by example on and off the ice during our run for the #1 seed.  He is a very unselfish player, passing first and making the right play.  He collected 14 points in 5 games during the month of February with just 2 PIM in those games which is a reflection of his discipline.”

Additionally, Jason was named to the Northern Junior Prospects Hockey League (NJPHL) All-Star event for his Jr Penguin Midget team along with Forward teammates Chase Leonelli, Zach McKown and Cody Blum and Defensive teammates Ryan Lottes and Ian Wood.  The NJPHL All-Stars will compete at the USA Hockey Tier III National Championship Event in Rochester, MN at the end of this month.

Jason was accepted at Michigan State and will attend there in the fall to study Biochemistry.
