Empire team splits with Stars

The Empire B Penguins traveled to Buffalo to escape the snow and play a pair of games against the Buffalo Stars.  Game one was unfortunately  filled with bus legs and rust from a game layoff due the recent bad weather in Pittsburgh over the last week. Ben Hanus notched two power play goals but that was not enough. The Stars added an empty net goal  and topped the Pens 5-2.

Game two started  with the Pens scoring goal on their first 3 shots.  32 shots later the game ended with the Pens on top 8-4. The Pens had goals from Ben Hanus (2), Nolan Trombetta, Nico Vecchio, Jarrett Ruchka,  Josh Marshall,  Tyler Fitzgerald, and Samo Porupcan. This weekend the Pens take on the Brewster Bulldogs for a pair of games and they will also make up two games postponed by weather against the Elmira Jackals.
